About
Avid Dig listener since 2004, residing in Omaha, Nebraska, USA. Dig is the ONLY music radio station to which I listen. US music scene as portrayed on broadcast radio is dull and uninspired. I am extraordinarily keen on Australian music scene and impressed by the global scope of artists represented on Dig. I would like to communicate with other listeners.

"Inflammatory Writ" is the only nearly-tolerable Joanna Newsom song I've ever heard; however, I would still live a happy life if I never heard her ever again.... ;-)
Awesome! Where the heck did these guys come from (time warp)? Love it and where can I get some?? Play more!!
Forgot all about "Pure Morning" and forgot how much I really like the song. Leave it to Dig to remind me! Thanks!
OMG-- I'm listening along, minding my own business and methinks "Is that Glen Freakin' Campbell??" Sure enough! How unusual, but ever so pleasant none-the-less. Thanks Dig!
Beautifully done. Commemorates not only this important landmark, but also the great artists the country has produced. For an American like me, it was a real treat to recognize those I admire so much (and never get to see, only hear) performing a song that means a lot to my husband and me, but used in a such a way as to mean something quite different. A love song to a building in the harbor. Clever, people. Very clever. (And I hope you Aussies all know how very lucky you are!)
Sounds like Michael Gira from The Swans. Son of Gira?? Spawn of Swans?
Love love love this band! One of my all-time favorite albums. Wasn't sure you DIG folks remembered. Play it any 'ol time you want!
Fantastic! Don't miss!
If you ever get an opportunity to see That 1 Guy perform live take it! He's an excellent showman and performer. Most fun and memorable!
I haven't had this level of anticipation for an album since The Dissociatives. Hope it becomes a Feature Album soon!
Love this song! Was really wanting to hear it yesterday. Know you don't take requests but then...you played it! (Are you telepathic?) It made me so happy. Thanks Dig!
I've been really impressed by Cloud Control (from what I've heard on DIG), so congrats on the win! Just wish their music was more readily available here in the States.
My friend Cory sez "Muskrat Love" Captain and Tenille or "Afternoon Delight" Starlight Vocal Band and esp. "D.O.A." by Blood Rock which, unfortunately, we tend to break into during a bender. Sorry, Cory. I'm really surprised more people didn't comment on this story. Cory and agree this was a great issue to discuss.
How about "Louie Louie" The Kingsmen, "Smoke on the Water" Deep Purple, "Sunday Bloody Sunday" U2, or the ever-popular "You Light Up My Life" Debbie Boone? "Safety Dance" Men Without Hats? "Close to You" The Carpenters? Anything by Gary Glitter.
There are so many bad songs, it's hard to choose. "The Purple People Eater" Sheb Wooley (although just on the merits of a really great name--I mean who names their kid Sheb any more? Such a shame--maybe we should keep playing it. REALLY LOUD. Rock on, Sheb.)
Heard "Tales of Endurance (Parts 4, 5, & 6)" and immediately went out and downloaded the album. Great fun pop. Is it Squeeze? Is it Lennon? No. It's Supergrass. And you don't have to be smoking any in order to enjoy it....
Just got the new album, after hearing some tracks on Dig. Love that crunchy ghee-tar! More lush instrumentally than I was expecting and so old school I feel like I've been transported back in time. It's very...Cream-y. (Clapton Baker Bruce, that is.) Cream-ish? -esque? Nah. Brothers is a tasty treat so I'll go with Cream-y. Enjoy.
Such a beautiful voice and talented songwriter. Her legacy will live on. The CBC did a lovely interview with Linda Ronstadt reflecting on McGarrigle on As It Happens 1/19. Hope to hear her featured soon on DIG.
For an old song, it sounds surprisingly fresh. Thanks for playing it.
LOVE "Darlinghurst Nights"! First heard it when we bought the album and then played it over and over. Great album. Great band!
So surprised and delighted to hear this! Thanks for this blast from the past.
