love the way this comment comes the day after the screening of the Chandon Pictures episode featuring a shallow "rock star" musing over what charity he will support... maybe... if the drugs are right...
Don't be offended - just letting loose some frustration at not gettting the broadcast on channel 200 - particulary as I have 2 STBs feeding seperate stereo systems around the house and office. Then I had to go and patch from a laptop to get the broadcast.
Still early days for all this medium that was pioneered by doublejay - and yes I remember you from way back then (along with Bob Hudson, Chris Winter, Holger Brockman, Marius Webb, Mac Cocker, et al and of course Gayle Austin).
Managed to catch all of the broadcast eventually by dipping in and out over the weekend and yes the docos were great. Interesting to note that the audio quality of the concert material in the docos seemed to be of better quality than the concert material you were broadcasting.
However it would have been nice to have it broadcast on Ch 200 when there is no DAB service around most of the country.
So I hope you are now gearing up to relive the festivals that were spawned in Australia following Woodstock - in particular Sunbury 72 (and yes I was there and I now tell my grandkids that their parents were there too)
and long may the hobbits reign
Well diggers you've probably worked out by now that all the ABC pixies have gone home to Hobbitland and won't be reponding to our posts until Monday. So it's up to the Dig community to help ourselves.
This woodstock show is on repeat. It is either 18 hours worth or maybe just 9 hours. It started at 5 pm yesterday and restarted at 11 am today - I wasn't listening at 2 am to hear if the repeat started agin then.
The online quality is very iffy - that could be because of the quality of the original material (quite possible) or because streaming is dependant on so many other factors.
But really pissed off that it is not running on DVB channel 200 - c'mon pixies ABC give at least one run on DVB for those of us outside the DAB areas. And of course I know this plea is useless because it won't be read until the hobbits return to their consoles on Monday.
we don't have digital broadcast Canberra - and it's not available through most of the country - just for a few who have purchased units in the cap cities.
the streaming quality is leaving a lot to be desired

Ah Miss Music you must be a youngster. If your parents remember the 60s they probably have the double LP of Woodstock. AND you can purchase the movie as a double DVD from the ABC shop for only 20 bucks - check it out
what a drab looking bunch. if it weren't for the guy in the red shirt one would have to assume that digital radio is broadcast in monochrome.
fortunatly I know that dig is broadcast in glorious colour - I use an old set top box (the tv picture became crap) as a tuner hooked up to the stereo in my office and have it on all day.

I hope this will also be broadcast on dig for those of us who live in areas not yet covered by digital broadcast radio - eg Canberra
