About
Ex-journalist (ABC, SBS, AAP), grew up on an eclectic diet of music. Have been listening to DIG since early 2008. Wish it was available on my car radio. Thanks to DIG for introducing me to Derek Trucks/Susan Tedeschi, Dan Sultan, Perry Keyes, Kathleen Edwards and so many others. Gosh, there's a lot of good music being ignored by traditional broadcast radio.

This should be great news... but it only reminds me how hard it is to imagine a Springsteen show without the Big Man.
Wonderful band, reminds of my HSC-era school days/daze
Dig people, I would love to hear Tom Waits' own version of Ol' 55 from the Closing Time album. It was covered by the Eagles in the early 70s. Hopefully you can find it in a digital format.

There's a groovy clip of Vanilla Fudge playing this song live on some '60s TV music show. Way out man, way out...

Is there a filmmaker with better musical taste?
Wow, that Hercules is some track!
Tax avoidance by the rich is as old as tax itself.
It's why the Stones went to France to make Exile on Main Street, wasn't it?
No problem, just wanted to see if anyone read my messages. Lovin' the music as always. Great antidote to Mondayitis.
And since when was Kurt Cobain's band a UK-based prog rock outfit from the late '60s???? Credibility fail, guys!
Something massively wrong with your maths, Digfolk - it's only been 20 years since Nevermind was released.
This. Is. Awesome.
Talented duo, but a clumsy name. Guess they would've been sued if they called themselves "The Stones"
Martin Scorsese must have the best musical knowledge of any filmmaker (OK, his taste most closely resembles my own). Have to track down this album., "Martin Scorsese Presents The Blues" from 1970.
Forgot how intense Duane Allamn and Eric Clapton get on "Have You Ever Loved A Woman". Stirring stuff.
Sad news, though I respect their decisions and reasons. Never got to see them when they toured here a few years ago. Very few bands today play with the spirit they brought to rock music.
Never Alone - I think I just heard the song I want to play at my funeral.
Can't believe this guy is from northern Queensland. Surely the Mississippi courses thru his veins...
The joy of Google! The Warren Zevon concert at the Bridge Hotel in Rozelle was in October 1992.
I'm sure I heard a duo play "Zevon Said" about 15 or 20 years ago. They were the opening act for Warren Zevon at the Bridge Hotel in Rozelle (where he did a series of solo shows). Does anybody remember those shows?
Stylish voice. Need to hear more. Hope the material is worthy of her voice.
I know there are a few vocalists around who sing in this style, but Regina Spektor does it well. I like this track.
Blues & dub - a recipe for groove heaven. Please DIG-folk, play more Little Axe (Down To The Valley, Storm is Rising). The DIG community will love it.
