Alt-rockers Wilco have reportedly started their own record label after their contract with Nonesuch Records recently expired.

Frontman Jeff Tweedy opted not to re-sign with Nonesuch and will instead lead the group into the studio on their own terms.

Guitarist Nels Cline has revealed that the band will commence recording for the new project in August and hinted that the new approach will most likely take “a long time” to complete.
