When drummers collide
Queen drummer Roger Taylor has hinted he would like to work with the Foo Fighters' Taylor Hawkins for a tour. The two drummers collaborated back in 2007 in the UK when the surviving members of Queen joined Foo Fighters onstage to perform "39" at London's O2 Arena.
"I've been thinking about doing a tour next year - a very quick tour - with Taylor Hawkins from the Foo Fighters," enthused Taylor. "He’s like one of my best blood brothers...He's got such a great, open approach to life."
Taylor's comments have raised a few eyebrows in the light of The Foo Fighters' much-publicised support for the organisation Alive and Well, which denies the link between HIV and AIDS, questions the validity of HIV tests, and even advises against taking medication to counter the disease.
Queen vocalist Freddie Mercury died in 1991 at the age of 45 from bronchial pneumonia resulting from AIDS.
