Bluesfest 2011 - Washington 04
Sep 9, 2011 Updated Sep 13, 2011

Prior to the release of a remixed version of her album I Believe You Liar, Washington has announced new 8-track release for Aussie fans.

Washington, who's currently residing in the US, describes Insomnia as as both "a magpie's nest" and "an eight-legged spider" but definitely "not a new Washington studio album." Whatever it is, it's due for release on October 21.

Meanwhile, she's about to head out on a US tour supporting 80s synth-poppers OMD, whose best-known song 'Enola Gay' came out six years before she was born.

"It'll either be like touring with your granddad or touring with a band who were massive in the '80s and still think they're massive", She says. "Backstage it could be blow or bridge. Cocaine or canasta. They're the options. I'm not sure yet."
