Despite rampant rumours in the press this week, 80s pop duo Wham! will not be reuniting.

The NME and others carried stories of a planned reunion to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the pair's first single 'Wham! Rap' entering the charts on June 29 1982.

George Michael's camp has been quick to deny the story, and even quicker to announce that George will in fact be releasing his own single 'White Light' on that date.

No word as yet from Andrew Ridgeley HQ, but as recent photos of the pair - see above - suggest, the thought of the two of them bouncing around the stage in oversize "Choose Life" T-shirts is almost too much to bear...

Wham! were a British musical duo formed by George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley in the early 1980s. They were briefly known in the United States as Wham! UK due to a naming conflict with a lesser known American band. Wham! sold 25 million certified records worldwide from 1982 to 1986.
