Triffids doco
It’s Raining Pleasure is a tribute to the late David McComb, frontman of the West Australian band, who died in 1999. It features footage of four Triffids reunion shows staged in 2008 as well as interviews with performers such as Mick Harvey (ex-Bad Seeds), Steve Kilbey (The Church) and Toby Martin (Youth Group).
The film has been screened previously in Adelaide, Melbourne and Canberra, but will make its Sydney debut at Petersham Bowling Club on October 16. The screening will mark the 10th anniversary of McComb's death and will feature an introduction by director Steven Levett and Triffid guitarist 'Evil' Graham Lee.
