Tribute show for Magic Dirt's Dean Turner
Dean Turner was just 37 when he died of a rare form of cancer in August, and the show will be raising money to go towards trust funds for his two young daughters.
Turner worked in the music industry variously as a musician, manager, mentor and producer, providing a leg up to many young bands and was often described as the heart and soul of Magic Dirt.
The benefit gig on December 19 will see local Brisbane bands Sixfthick, Screamfeeder, Giants of Science and The Hymies perform a Magic Dirt song of their choice as a tribute to Turner.
On the night there’ll be Magic Dirt music videos getting screened, limited edition merchandise for sale, as well as raffles and giveaways.
