The wrong Dave
Yesterday we reported that the 38 year old conundrum surrounding the subject of Carly Simon's song You're So Vain might finally have been solved.
Not so.
Carly herself has refuted reports that the subject of her song was record industry heavyweight David Geffen, saying “What a riot!...What a funny mistake!" before adding that she never even knew Geffen in 1971 when the song was written.
Cynics may say that Carly's teasing is merely a way to draw attention to her upcoming album Never Been Gone, but we'd never dare suggest such a thing.
Perish the thought.
Just to keep the story moving, we reckon it's about Rick Astley.
