The John Steel Singers

The John Steel Singers have just released a new single, produced by fellow Brissie boy Robert Forster of the Go-Betweens.

Masochist is the first track from the band’s debut album, Tangalooma, which will be mixed in Brooklyn by Nicholas Vernhes, who has previously who has worked with the likes of Animal Collective and Deerhunter.

With the album due out early next year, JSS are currently touring in support of the single.

The John Steel Singers are a six piece band from Brisbane, Australia, named after a toy horse that band member Tim Morrissey named John Steel. They were formed in 2007 when Morrissey and Scott Bromiley decided to start making music together and were soon joined by Ross Chandler, Pete Bernoth, Pat McDermott and Luke McDonald.
