Hallelujah, by UK author Tim Footman, is a comprehensive retelling of the Cohen story, from his roots in a middle class jewish family in Quebec , through his - comparitively late - entry into the world of folk and rock at the age of 37, to his current status as one of contemporary music's most influential figures.
After spending the best part of the last decade living in a monastery and meditating 12 hours a day, Cohen is currently enjoying something of a career resurgence, and is currently working on a new album set for release sometime next year.
