Stones guitarist arrested over alleged assault

Guitarist with the Rolling Stones, Ronnie Wood, has been arrested in London over claims he assaulted his Russian girlfriend.

The 62 year old has since been released on bail until next month, pending further investigations.

Wood’s wife divorced him last month on the grounds of his adultery, after he admitted to being in a relationship with Ekaterina Ivanova, who is in her early twenties.

Wood - who joined the Rolling Stones in 1976 and plays alongside Mick Jagger, guitarist Keith Richards and drummer Charlie Watts - checked into rehab last year to be treated for long-term alcohol addiction.
