Rolling Stone guitarist Ronnie Wood isn't best pleased about an auction of his stuff.

The sale, organised by ex-wife Jo, features artwork, Stones stage outfits and one of Wood's prized Fender guitars, but Ronnie clearly wasn't consulted, saying he's "staggered" and "shocked" by the sale, which is expected to raise up to half a million dollars for Grammy charity MusiCares.

A statement from Wood's representatives reads "Ronnie feels saddened that Jo has taken this course of action and wants the public to know he has not teamed up with Jo on this outrageous sale."

Wood began his career in 1964, when he joined The Birds on guitar.
