Splendour shifts state
Organisers had been hoping to move the event from Belongil Fields to a purpose-built site at Yelgun, in the north of the Byron Shire, but that decision is still awaiting council approval, and organisers have instead moved the event to Woodford on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
Splendour's Jessica Ducrou says the event may return to NSW if the Yelgun site gets planning approval.
Next year's festival will be spread across three days, from July 30 to August 1.
