Recently reformed rockers Soundgarden's long-awaited new record will finally be released on November 12.

Guitarist Kim Thayil says of the as-yet untitled disc "It re-establishes that we still rock, we're still heavy, and we're still a little weird." Vocalist Chris Cornell says "It's sort of picking up where we left off...It's a very rich album with a lot of different moods to it."

Soundgarden is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington in 1984 by singer and rhythm guitarist Chris Cornell, lead guitarist Kim Thayil, and bassist Hiro Yamamoto. Matt Cameron became the band's full-time drummer in 1986, while bassist Ben Shepherd became a permanent replacement for Yamamoto in 1990.
