Expect to see some new material from New Order after the band confirmed they'll be knuckling down to work early next year.

Speaking to BBC 6 Music, frontman Bernard Sumner said "We finish touring at the end of October and then we've got November off. After Christmas, we're going to have a meeting about writing some new stuff…what we've seen from traveling around the world is that people want to hear some new stuff".

New Order's last studio album was 2005's Waiting For The Sirens.
