Marketa Irglova, one-half of oscar winning duo the Swell Season, will release her first solo album on October 11.

Anar was produced by Irglova and husband Tim Iseler, and was inspired in part by a hiatus in Swell Season activity and by her decision to move from Ireland to New York.

"I realised if I wanted to continue making music I just had to create the circumstances for myself" She says. "So I just started writing more intensely and in a more committed way than I ever had before".
