Stones guitarist Keith Richards has refuted rumours of his current sobriety.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Richards also hinted at some fresh activity from the band: “I wouldn’t be surprised if we did some recording later this year.” He said.

He also suggested that the band may try a different approach to any future live shows. "Maybe not the football stadiums anymore. Maybe something different. You can’t go around there in lemon-yellow tights forever.”

Richards finally addressed reports he had stopped drinking, saying “Listen, the rumors of my sobriety are greatly exaggerated."
