Eric's new album, cunningly titled Clapton, features collaborations with Wynton Marsalis, Sheryl Crow and Allen Toussaint, and is due to hit the shops on September the 28th.

In his autobiography, EC certainly creates a feeling that he was always reluctant to lead and a bit surprised by the attention and adulation he received for his guitar play. So it is easy to imagine him not being confident about his singing. I don't think he would say this for any other reason than that it is how he really feels. If there is one thing that Eric Clapton has done pretty consistently it is to not fall for gimmicks or ways to attract attention in any other way than by his guitar work.
Having said that.. I better go and buy the album..... there's always room for one more!!!
