Thrash metal veterans Slayer are attempting a bit of image softening...

Once vilified for alleged Nazi sympathies and for finding satanism "interesting", the Californian quartet's latest stab at merchandising is something of a departure...a nice comfy woolly Christmas jumper...yes - really.

There must be lots of Slayer fands eager to roast their chestnuts in an open fire this yuletide, because the entire stock of 80 dollar wollies has already sold out.

Slayer is an American thrash metal band formed in Huntington Park, California in 1981 by guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman. Slayer rose to mainstream fame with their 1986 release, Reign in Blood, and is credited as one of the "Big Four" thrash metal acts, along with Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax. Slayer's sales are in the estimated high 20 millions, although they have never publicly...
