Sigur Ros: "harder, dirtier, more aggressive"

Georg Holm

Sigur Rós' Australian shows contain a clue as to what to expect next from Iceland's fabbest foursome.

The band performed a new track 'Brennisteinn' - which translates as 'Brimstone' - at Harvest at the weekend, which bassist Georg Holm says sets the tone for where the band is headed next: "The new stuff that we're working on now is...completely different from whatever we've done before" He says. "It's definitely a lot harder and dirtier and more aggressive...it's not necessarily very pretty."

Stay tuned to ABC Dig Music for the rest of our chat with Georg, plus lots more from this year's Harvest...coming very soon.
