Sigur Ros: 2012 a record year
Due for release in the first quarter of 2012, the record is variously described by band members themselves as "introverted" "floaty and minimal" and "An ambient album...a slow takeoff toward something."
"We've never been gimmicked into keeping our sound similar to what we did last," band keyboardist Kjarri Sveinsson says. "It's very easy for musicians to buy into that idea. It's so unnecessary."
