Peter Gabriel has finally revealed the key to a full Genesis reunion: “a large brown envelope.”

Gabriel made the tongue-in-cheek admission on New York radio station Q104.3, admitting  that several “great offers” had been made to get the band back together...but it seems that none of the envelopes offered has been quite large enough.

Gabriel said he would be open to the idea of playing a reunion show for a good cause, citing the 2007 Led Zeppelin reunion - staged in honour of Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegün - as an example of how to do it right.

After leaving Genesis, Gabriel went on to a successful solo career.
