Fremantle's finest, Eskimo Joe, are to play a series of intimate gigs to road test new material.

The band will showcase songs for inclusion on their fifth studio album, a followup to 2009's Inshalla.

The tour kicks off on may 20 in Adelaide, and takes in Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

Dates are:

May 20, Adelaide, Fowlers Live
May 21, Perth, Fly By Night
May 26, Brisbane, The Zoo
May 27, Melbourne, East Brunswick Club
May 29, Sydney, Gaelic Club
