Roses set a record

Stone Roses 2011
Oct 24, 2011 Updated Oct 25, 2011

Tickets for the Stone Roses reunion gigs have sold out in record time and are currently attracting seriously silly prices.

After the 150 thousand tickets for the first two dates sold out in 14 minutes, another gig was added but just under an hour later all 220 thousand tickets for the 3 gigs were gone.

Reports that eBay was listing a pair of tickets with a 1.2 million pounds buy it now price appear to be misleading...the highest bid we could find this morning was a mere 460 quid - around 710 aussie dollars - for a pair of VIP enclosure tickets.

Roses frontman Ian Brown reacted to news of the sellout by exclaiming "We plan on spending the rest of the day jumping up and down with our hands in the air".
