Black Sabbath
Jul 16, 2010 Updated Jul 19, 2010

Classic songs from heavy metal veterans Black Sabbath have been reworked into an album of childrens' bedtime lullabies, out this month.

But whether the tortured voice of Ozzy Osbourne, who famously bit the head off a live bat on stage, will actually help put kids to sleep, remains to be seen.

The album, called Rockabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions of Black Sabbath is part of a series where rock songs are transformed into 'soothing' lullabies.

Famous Black Sabbath tracks, like 'Paranoid,' 'Iron Man' and 'War Pigs', have undergone dreamy makeovers, with gentle bells, polyphonic keyboards and glockenspiels replacing the band's heavy trademark riffs.
