Rihanna reigns in social media poll

Rihanna has topped a list of the most active musicians on social media websites.

The new chart, called the Social 50, has been compiled by Billboard magazine – known in America for their album and single charts. The list counts the number of followers, page views and songs played on the artist's pages across Twitter, Facebook, Myspace and other social media sites.

Justin Bieber and Eminem came in just below Rihanna in second and third place on the Social 50, whilst Bob Marley ranked in at 24 and Coldplay at 32.

5. Nicki Minaj
6. The Black Eyed Peas
7. Katy Perry
