Thanks to a recent tweet from bassist Flea, we already knew that the band were planning some shows in Oz early next year, but now Australia's very own music soothsayer Nui Te Koha pronounced on Melbourne breakfast radio yesterday “Let’s put this in the bank right now – Red Hot Chili Peppers 2013. They WILL headline the Big Day Out”.
He continued with less-specific predictions regarding - amongst others - Van Halen, Bruce Springsteen and The Stone Roses, details of which can be found here
