The next album from former Kink Ray Davies will feature duets with some big names.

Davies's album will be a reworking of classic material in the form of of duets.

At least two songs have already been recorded: a new version of the Kinks' 'Better Things', featuring Bruce Springsteen, and a rendition of the 1972 single 'Celluloid Heroes', with Jon Bon Jovi.

Both tracks were recorded last month in New York.

"Bruce took about two or three hours and Jon about the same," Davies said. "They were well-prepped and I was very impressed".

Davies has also hinted at possible collaborations with the Killers, Metallica and Lucinda Williams.
