In an article for Rolling Stone magazine, Morello said that Ryan is quote “the Embodiment of the Machine Our Music Rages Against”, going on to call Ryan “clueless” and saying: "Rage’s music affects people in different ways. Some tune out what the band stands for and concentrate on the moshing and throwing elbows in the pit...Perhaps Paul Ryan was moshing when he should have been listening.”

Rage Against the Machine is an American rap metal band from Los Angeles, California. Formed in 1991, the group consists of vocalist Zack de la Rocha, bassist and backing vocalist Tim Commerford, guitarist Tom Morello and drummer Brad Wilk.
