Queenscliff and Bigsound artists announced
While they may not have been given a look in for the Hottest 100 Aussie albums, The Triffids will headline Queenscliff Music Festival 2011. Also hitting the stage will be Eskimo Joe, Gypsy & The Cat, The Cruel Sea and Vanda & Young winner Kimbra amongst many others.
Queenscliff will take place November 25-27 1.5 hours outside Melbourne. Tickets are currently on sale.
For an festival option further North, BIGSOUND Live has announced its lineup of 80 acts across 2 nights in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley 7-9 September.
The Getaway Plan, Jinja Safari, Busby Marou and Eagle & the Worm join a long list of Aussie talent for the mid-week bash which coincides with the large music industry conference.

Artist Biography
The Triffids were a seminal Australian alternative rock and pop band formed in Perth, Western Australia, in May 1978 with charismatic, David McComb as singer-songwriter, guitarist, bass guitarist and keyboardist. They achieved negligible success in Australia, but greater success in the U.K. and Scandinavia in the 1980s and disbanded in 1989, Some of their best known songs are "Wide Open Road"...
