BBC journalist Alan Connor has had a crack at unlocking music's equivalent of the Da Vinci Code, and the results may well surprise you.
The band themselves have said that it's a silly song about love, loss and death. "We viewed it quite tongue-in-cheek," said Freddie Mercury, whilst drummer Roger Taylor added "It's fairly self-explanatory...there's just a bit of nonsense in the middle."
