Pumpkins go Prog

Rick Wakeman
Mar 11, 2010 Updated Mar 15, 2010

The Smashing Pumpkins will hold auditions for a new bassist and keyboardist for its ever-changing lineup...but there's a twist.

Musicians interested in the two new slots are being asked to e-mail their details - including age, a resume of any bands and recorded work, photos and performance web links - to pumpkinsbass@gmail.com or pumpkinskeys@gmail.com.

Note to prospective keyboardists: head pumpkin Billy Corgan says he’s looking for someone with a prog-rock background, who is a fan of - and can play in the style of - Jon Lord and Rick Wakeman (pictured).

All submissions are due March 31st.
