Aussie political heavyweights reveal their top tunes...

To help launch a new MySpace initiative that allows Aussies to stream entire back catalogues of hundreds of artists, Australian politicians have been quizzed about their musical tastes.

PM Kevin Rudd cites Sinatra and Powderfinger tunes amongst his favourites, and singles out The Power and the Passion by his front bench colleague Peter Garrett's band Midnight Oil as one of his all-time top tunes. Mr Garrett, however, steers away from his own ouevre and instead nominates artists like Cold Chisel, Bob Dylan and Miles Davis as his favourites.

Opposition leader Malcolm Turnbull lists the Daddy Cool classic Eagle Rock as one of his faves, whilst opposition treasury spokesman Joe Hockey draws inspiration from the Elton John and George Michael collaboration Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me and Believe Again by Delta Goodrem.
