Plastic confession
Yesterday we reported on the shenanigans in a Belgian court which sought to prove that the 70s Euro-Punk pinup was NOT the singer of the nonsensical 1977 smash.
Now, in the face of evidence which demonstrated that the Brussels-born singer did not have the necessary linguistic heritage, Mr Bertrand, aka Roger Jouret, has fessed up.
In an interview with the Belgian newspaper Le Soir, he admitted it had been another singer mangling the French language on the song – and laid the blame squarely at the door of his former producer, Lou Deprijck.
On another topic...does anyone else reckon that PB looks like Celine Dion in that photo?
