Peter Gabriel's album New Blood is streaming online a week ahead of its official release.

Gabriel has reworked 12 of his classic tracks with the help of composer and arranger John Metcalfe and the 46 piece New Blood Orchestra, including a version of 'Solsbury Hill' that includes five minutes of ambient sound recorded on Solsbury Hill, Somerset.

A different track from the album will be featured every hour on Gabriel's website until the album's official release on October 10.

Peter Brian Gabriel (born 13 February 1950) is an English singer, musician, and songwriter who rose to fame as the lead vocalist and flautist of the progressive rock group Genesis. After leaving Genesis, Gabriel went on to a successful solo career. His 1986 album, So, is his most commercially successful, and the album's biggest hit, "Sledgehammer", won a record nine MTV Awards at the 1987 MTV...
