Federal Environment Minister Peter Garrett will take to the stage alongside the likes of Marianne Faithfull, Todd Rundgren, actor Tim Robbins and New York Dolls frontman David Johansen at this year's Sydney Festival.

The former Oils frontman has been added to the lineup of Rogues Gallery, an event best described as a variety night dedicated to pirate ballads and sea shanties.

The performance will take place at the Opera House on January 28.

sounds like a great lineup.Peter Tim and Marianne would be well able to generate a fever pitch crwod response.
I ve been out of oz for 8 years so i didnt even know midnight oil had broken up. (was saddened to here of ther demise) any signs of a world reunion tour?
would be nice to see em at the 02 dublin or the marquee cork. I d even travel over to london from galway to catch a show. Ireland is a happening place in the summer.Aussies shoule make the most of the great value holidays and cheap flights within europe if they are venturing to london for the olympics. dont ever think the irish people are beaten cause there are loads of job opportunties being created here. IT call centre ,bio medical, engineering.
