It's confirmed...Peter Gabriel will NOT be heading down under for the Melbourne Cup anniversary gig this November.

A statement on promoter Andrew McManus' website reads "The cancellation is due to scheduling issues and it is jointly agreed between Andrew McManus Presents and Peter Gabriel that it’s not possible for this show to take place in Australia for 2010.

Former Beach Boy Brian Wilson will replace Gabriel as headliner, with the rest of the bill - which includes America, Chicago and Danielle Spencer - forging ahead as planned.

Refunds are available for anyone left disgruntled by the news.
