Peter Hook to play 'Unknown Pleasures' live
The band's debut album, Unknown Pleasures came out in June 1979, less than 12 months before lead singer Ian Curtis comitted suicide.
Although the release could have been considered a failure then peaking at just 72 on the UK chart, it has since been recognised at one of the greatest British albums of all time.
Peter Hook will perform Unknown Pleasures in full at his club FAC 51 in Manchester, on May 18.

Peter "Hooky" Hook (born 13 February 1956) is an English bass player. He was a co-founder of the post-punk band Joy Division along with Bernard Sumner in the mid-1970s. Following the death of lead singer Ian Curtis, the band reformed as New Order, and Hook played bass with them throughout their career until his departure in 2007.
