Beginning in August, Red Hot Chili Peppers will issue 18 previously unreleased tracks from the I'm With You album sessions.

The tracks will be available in either digital or 7" vinyl form, with the first pair of tracks - 'Strange Man' and 'Long Progression' available from August 14.

Band guitarist Josh Klinghoffer says of the new approach - which will happen monthly until early 2013 - "Some songs seem to have a lot more of an agenda than others...Here are some songs that seemed to want to pair up and take a later train. Keep your eye on them, they're up to something..."
