To celebrate the career of one of our country's most inspiring songwriters, triple j invited some of Australia's best artists to take part in Before Too Long - a tribute to Paul Kelly.

Paul Kelly is one of Australia's most prolific and well known songwriters. He's released 19 albums and his storytelling and songwriting speaks to successive generations and has inspired a whole raft of musicians working today.

He has performed solo, and has led numerous groups, including the Dots, the Coloured Girls, and the Messengers.
