One Love, but lots of cash
Last year alone, pirated merchandise featuring the late singer's image was estimated to be worth more than $600 million.
Now the Marley estate has struck a deal with a Canadian private-equity firm that is predicted to generate global annual sales of more than $US1 billion by 2012.
Fortune magazine has reported that the Marley brand will be launched next year, featuring herbal(!) health-care products as well as headphones, speakers and a video game.
Plans are also afoot for a worldwide chain of One Love cafes featuring reggae music and Jamaican food.
