Not dead yet

Kate Miller-Heidke
Jan 12, 2010 Updated Jan 13, 2010

Following in the footsteps of Tom Hanks, Jeff Goldblum and Rick Astley, quirky songstress Kate Miller-Heidke is the latest subject of the celebrity ‘death-prank’ phenomenon.

Late last week news emerged on a fairly dodgy looking web page that the Brisbane singer had been killed in car accident in South Central LA. The site, which was emblazoned with both the Yahoo 7 and ABC news logos, reported that the crash occurred whilst Kate was using her mobile to update ger twitter feed whilst driving.

Despite the suspect odour of the story, a handful of fans expressed concern, leading the singer to declare - via Twitter, and not whilst driving - “Definitely not dead...Thanks for the concern though.”
