No doubt having heard and read the story right here on ABC Dig Music...as well as via a few other sources, the former Genesis frontman has issued an official statement setting the record straight about his retirement plans.
In the statement, Collins claims the one and only reason he's taking a break is to be a full-time father to his two young sons.
Collins also says "I have ended up sounding like a tormented weirdo who thinks he was at the Alamo in another life, who feels very sorry for himself, and is retiring hurt because of the bad press over the years. None of this is true...there's no need for the straitjacket!"
