New music a la Mode
The band held a press conference yesterday at which they announced that their 13th studio album will be released in April next year; the band also revealed the first swag of dates that will see them on the road fairly solidly between May and July. Once again, there's no word as yet as to whether Australia comes under the band's definition of 'World' when it comes to touring.
"It's a miracle that we're still able to do it." keyboard player and guitarist Martin Gore said yesterday, no doubt mindful of lead vocalist Dave Gahan's numerous brushes with addiction, serious illness and injury that have plagued him since the early 1990s.
