'New' Bowie album leaks online
The 2001 disc - which was to have been called Toy and was shelved due to a contractual disagreement with Virgin Records - contains reworkings of some early Bowie obscurities plus new material, and is currently doing the rounds of the usual torrent sites.
Although two tracks from the album,'Uncle Floyd' and 'Afraid' – were re-recorded for Bowie's 2002 album Heathen and another three of the tracks – 'Baby Loves That Way', 'Shadow Man' and 'You've Got A Habit of Leaving' – were subsequently released as B-sides, the remaining nine tracks haven't been heard before.
