Aussie musicians have sprung into action to help raise money for Queensland flood relief.

There are a number of gigs over the next few days where you can enjoy some great music and help lend a hand to all our mates up in Queensland.

Of particular note is the just-announced gig at Melbourne's Corner Hotel on January 20th featuring Washington, Dan Sultan, Clare Bowditch, Tim Rogers Bertie Blackman and Missy Higgins. Promoter Michael Gudinski is also pulling together a Flood Relief Concert that is rumoured to include Rihanna, Usher and Kings of Leon; speculation is also rife that Gudinski will try to persuade Brisbane rockers Powderfinger to reform for the one-off concert.

Other events include:

Hip Hop Flood Relief with Pharoahe Monch, M-phazes and Boogie Blind: Friday, January 14, 8pm, The Corner Hotel, Swan St Richmond, $20 on the door

Dance Aid featuring 27 dance acts including Grant Smillie, Ruby Rose, Nervo, Stafford Brothers (Qld), Zoe Badwi Live and Potbelleez Live: Wednesday January 19, 7pm, Prince Bandroom, 29 Fitzroy St St Kilda, $40 through Moshtix

The Starry Starry Night One Night Stand featuring some of the biggest names in Australian country music: Wednesday Janurary 19, 8pm, The Pub, Gunnedah Road Tamworth

When the Levee Breaks – Blues Music Fundraiser featuring award-winning Victorian Blues Musicians performing in an all-star lineup: Wednesday February 2, 8.30pm, The East Brunswick Club, 280 Lygon St East Brunswick, $20+b/f (03) 9388 9794

Flood Fundraiser at Pretty Please featuring Little Red (DJ Set), Muscles (DJ Set) + more: Friday 14 January, Pretty Please - 61C Fitzroy Street, Saint Kilda VIC. Go to the event facebook page for ticket details.

Falcona and The Keystone Group Flood Relief Fundraiser featuring Bag Raiders (DJ set), Dangerous Dan, SOSUEME DJS, Ro Sham Bo with complimentary drinks and canapés provided on arrival: Sunday 23rd January, Kit and Kaboodle Supper Club - 35 Darlinghurst Road, Kings Cross NSW. Entry is $10 or more Donation on the Door.
