Musos pitch in to help the homeless

Pearl Jam onstage
Jul 1, 2011 Updated Jul 4, 2011

Pearl Jam, Wilco, The Strokes and Queens of the Stone Age are amongst a huge lineup of acts featured on a triple album to help the homeless.

The album - Live From Nowhere Near You Volume 2 - is the second release by a project which pairs street musicians with established acts to raise awareness of - and cash help for - the homeless.

The line-up of musicians involved is pretty impressive: in addition to the acts already mentioned, Modest Mouse, The Dandy Warhols and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club are just a few of the other bands and musicians lending a hand.

The triple set, due for release on July 16, costs a mere $15, with 100% of the profits going to charity.
