UK folk-poppers Mumford and Sons are keen to explore small town Australia.

The band plan to bring their ‘Gentlemen of the Road’ concept with them when they visit Oz in October; "We want to stop off in towns where bands don’t usually tour, and celebrate the local people, food and music" They say, adding: "We’re keen to promote the town’s local businesses, and we’ll be using the local bars and venues for after-show parties".

No further details have been announced, and the only dates released so far are for what could conservatively be termed larger-sized venues...

Also hope they come close to Hervey Bay in Queensland end of October - it's still whale watching season then too.
